WOW!(LUKE 11:27-32)
(눅 11:27) 이 말씀을 하실 때에 무리 중에서 한 여자가 음성을 높여 이르되 당신을 밴 태와 당신을 먹인 젖이 복이 있나이다 하니//And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed {is} the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
(눅 11:28) 예수께서 이르시되 오히려 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 지키는 자가 복이 있느니라 하시니라//But he said, Yea rather, blessed {are} they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
(눅 11:29) 무리가 모였을 때에 예수께서 말씀하시되 이 세대는 악한 세대라 표적을 구하되 요나의 표적 밖에는 보일 표적이 없나니//And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
(눅 11:30) 요나가 니느웨 사람들에게 표적이 됨과 같이 인자도 이 세대에 그러하리라//For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
(눅 11:31) 심판 때에 남방 여왕이 일어나 이 세대 사람을 정죄하리니 이는 그가 솔로몬의 지혜로운 말을 들으려고 땅 끝에서 왔음이거니와 솔로몬보다 더 큰 이가 여기 있으며//The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon {is} here.
(눅 11:32) 심판 때에 니느웨 사람들이 일어나 이 세대 사람을 정죄하리니 이는 그들이 요나의 전도를 듣고 회개하였음이거니와 요나보다 더 큰 이가 여기 있느니라//The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas {is} here.

“Wow!” was the response of our team members who toured a retreat center - purchased at great cost by a person with a vision for the refreshment and encouragement of people serving in ministry. We were amazed by double-decker, queen-sized bunks and bedroom suites with kingsized beds. The exquisitely equipped kitchen and dining area also generated wide-eyed delight. And, just when you thought that you’d seen it all, there were more surprises - including a full-sized, indoor basketball court. Every “wow” was warranted.
“와!” 어떤 사람이 사역하는 사람들에게 쉼과 격려를 제공하고 싶은 꿈을 갖고 큰 비용을 들여 구입한 한 휴양지를 둘러보고 우리 팀원들이 보인 반응이다. 우리는 퀸 사이즈 이층 침대들과 킹 사이즈 침대가 있는 침실을 보고 놀랐다. 우아하게 갖춰진 주방과 식당 공간도 눈에 띄는 즐거움을 선사했다. 그게 다 인줄 알았는데, 실물 크기의 실내 농구장을 비롯하여 더 많은 놀라운 시설들이 있었다. 매번 “와” 하고 반응할 수밖에 없었다.
The Queen of Sheba had a similar “wow” response when she visited King Solomon in ancient Jerusalem. When she “saw all the wisdom of Solomon and the palace he had built . . . she was overwhelmed” (1 KINGS 10:4-5). Centuries later, another royal son of David – Jesus - appeared, and He amazed people in other ways. Everywhere He went, people recognized the wonder of His wisdom and works (LUKE 4:36), and He urged them to see that “someone greater than Solomon” had stepped onto the scene (11:31 NLT). The stunning ministry of Jesus grants forgiveness of sin - purchased at great cost, His death. He welcomes anyone who will to come to Him. And those who do will experience His beauty and grace and will sing His praises now and throughout eternity. Wow! ARTHUR JACKSON
고대 예루살렘을 방문한 스바 여왕도 솔로몬 왕을 만났을 때 이와 비슷한 “와” 반응을 보였다. 여왕은 “솔로몬의 모든 지혜와 그가 건축한 왕궁…을 보고 크게 감동되었다”(열왕기상 10:4-5). 여러 세기가 지난 뒤, 다윗의 또 다른 왕손 예수님이 등장하여 사람들을 다른 방식으로 놀라게 했다. 예수님이 가시는 곳마다 사람들은 그분의 지혜와 사역이 경이로움을 깨닫게 되었으며(누가복음 4:36), 예수님은 사람들에게 “솔로몬보다 더 큰 이”가 이곳에 온 것을 보라고 강조하셨다(11:31). 예수님의 놀라운 사역으로 우리의 죄가 용서받았는데, 그것은 그분의 죽음이라는 커다란 희생으로 이루어진 것이다. 주님은 그분께 나아오는 사람 누구나 반갑게 맞아 주신다. 그리고 주님께 나아가는 사람들은 주님의 아름다움과 은혜를 경험하고 지금부터 영원토록 주님을 찬양하게 된다. 와!
What about Jesus compels you to say, “Wow!”? If you haven’t yet experienced the goodness of God through Jesus, what’s keeping you from getting to know Him?
예수님에 대한 어떤 부분이 “와”라고 외치게 만듭니까? 예수님을 통해 하나님의 선하심을 아직 경험하지 못했다면, 그분을 알지 못하게 막고 있는 것이 무엇입니까?
Dear Jesus, please continue to open my eyes and heart to see how amazing You are.//사랑하는 예수님, 놀라우신 주님을 잘 깨달을 수 있도록 저의 눈과 마음을 계속 열어 주소서. 매일 성경 말씀 가운데, 눈으로 보는 자연과 삶 속에서 주님이 하신 일과 주님을 보고 “와”의 감탄사를 연발하게 하소서. 매 순간이 그런 삶이 되게 하소서.
