본문 : 요한복음 21:14-17(John 21:14-17)
(요 21:14) 이것은 예수께서 죽은자 가운데서 살아나신 후에 세 번째로 제자들에게 나타나신 것이라//This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
(요 21:15) 저희가 조반 먹은 후에 예수께서 시몬 베드로에게 이르시되 요한의 아들 시몬아 네가 이 사람들보다 나를 더 사랑하느냐 하시니 가로되 주여 그러하외다 내가 주를 사랑하는 줄 주께서 아시나이다 가라사대 내 어린 양을 먹이라 하시고//So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, {son} of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
(요 21:16) 또 두번째 가라사대 요한의 아들 시몬아 네가 나를 사랑하느냐 하시니 가로되 주여 그러하외다 내가 주를 사랑하는줄 주께서 아시나이다 가라사대 내 양을 치라 하시고//He saith to him again the second time, Simon, {son} of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
(요 21:17) 세 번째 가라사대 요한의 아들 시몬아 네가 나를 사랑하느냐 하시니 주께서 세번째 네가 나를 사랑하느냐 하시므로 베드로가 근심하여 가로되 주여 모든 것을 아시오매 내가 주를 사랑하는 줄을 주께서 아시나이다 예수께서 가라사대 내 양을 먹이라//He saith unto him the third time, Simon, {son} of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Truth is truth even if it doesn't seem to affect our lives directly. But the truth that God gives us in the Bible not only opens heaven's door for us, it also changes our lives.
진리가 심지어 우리의 삶에 직접 영향을 주지 않더라도 진리는 진리다. 그러나 성경에서 하나님이 우리에게 주신 진리는 우리를 위해 하늘의 문을 여실 뿐 아니라, 우리의 삶도 변화시킨다.
Ron Sider, a leading evangelical advocate for the poor, tells about a conversation he had with German theologian Wolfhart Pannenberg. As they were discussing the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, the theologian emphatically declared, "The evidence for Jesus' resurrection is so strong that nobody would question it except for two things: It is a very unusual event, and second, if you believe it happened, you have to change the way you live."
가난한 사람을 위한, 선도하는 복음주의의 대변자 Ron Sider는 독일의 신학자 Wolfhart Pannenberg와 나눴던 대화에 관해 말한다. 그들이 예수님이 죽은 자 가운데서 부활하신 것에 대해 논의할 때, 그 신학자는 이렇게 단호히 선언했다. "예수님의 부활에 대한 증거가 너무나 단호해서 문제 삼을 것이 다음의 두가지밖에 없다: 첫째는 그것이 매우 비범한 사건이라는 것이고, 둘째로는, 당신이 그것을 실제 일어난 사실로 믿는다면 당신은 삶의 방식을 바꾸어야만 한다는 것이다."
That's challenging statement. If we really believe Jesus rose again, that belief mandates a change of life. Peter's life was turned upside-down after he saw the resurrected Christ. Once an impetuous fisherman-disciple who denied even knowing Christ after His arrest, he became a bold witness for Him(John 18:17, 25, 27; Acts 2:14-36).
그것은 도전을 주는 설명이다. 예수님이 다시 사셨다는 것을 진정으로 믿는다면, 그 믿음은 필연적으로 삶을 변화시킨다. 베드로가 부활하신 예수님을 본 후로 그의 삶은 완전히 뒤바뀌었다. 한때 충동적인 어부였던 제자로서 그는 그분이 체포된 이후에 예수님을 알지 못한다고 부정했었는데, 그분에 대해 담대한 증인으로 변했다(요한복음 18:17, 25, 27; 사도행전 2:14-36).

The power that God used to raise Jesus from the dead is the same power at work in you.//예수님을 죽음에서 일으키셨던 하나님의 능력은 당신 안에서 일하시는 능력과 동일하십니다. 죽었던 우리의 영이 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 살아난 것은 역시 예수님의 부활과 동일한 기적입니다. 우리는 그 기적의 흔적을 우리 몸에 가지고 있습니다. 그것을 매일 실감하며 변화된 영과 더불어 변화된 삶의 모습을 드러내야 합니다.
