BRING IT TO GOD(2 KINGS 19:14-20)
(왕하 19:14) 히스기야가 사자의 손에서 편지를 받아보고 여호와의 성전에 올라가서 히스기야가 그 편지를 여호와 앞에 펴 놓고//And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord.
(왕하 19:15) 그 앞에서 히스기야가 기도하여 이르되 그룹들 위에 계신 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와여 주는 천하 만국에 홀로 하나님이시라 주께서 천지를 만드셨나이다//And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord, and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest {between} the Cherubims, thou art the God, {even} thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.
(왕하 19:16) 여호와여 귀를 기울여 들으소서 여호와여 눈을 떠서 보시옵소서 산헤립이 살아 계신 하나님을 비방하러 보낸 말을 들으시옵소서//Lord, bow down thine ear, and hear: open, Lord, thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God.
(왕하 19:17) 여호와여 앗수르 여러 왕이 과연 여러 민족과 그들의 땅을 황폐하게 하고//Of a truth, Lord, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands,
(왕하 19:18) 또 그들의 신들을 불에 던졌사오니 이는 그들이 신이 아니요 사람의 손으로 만든 것 곧 나무와 돌 뿐이므로 멸하였나이다//And have cast their gods into the fire: for they {were} no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.
(왕하 19:19) 우리 하나님 여호와여 원하건대 이제 우리를 그의 손에서 구원하옵소서 그리하시면 천하 만국이 주 여호와가 홀로 하나님이신 줄 알리이다 하니라//Now therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou {art} the Lord God, {even} thou only.
(왕하 19:20) 아모스의 아들 이사야가 히스기야에게 보내 이르되 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀이 네가 앗수르 왕 산헤립 때문에 내게 기도하는 것을 내가 들었노라 하셨나이다//Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, {That} which thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard.

Brian had been with the heart specialist for more than an hour. His friend remained in the waiting room, praying for wisdom and healing for his ailing friend. When Brian finally returned to the waiting room, he showed him the pile of papers he’d received. As he spread them out on a table, he discussed the various options being considered to treat his threatening condition. The two discussed the need to pray and ask God for wisdom for next steps. And then Brian said, “Whatever lies ahead, I’m in God’s hands.”
브라이언은 심장 전문의와 한 시간 넘게 진료 상담을 했다. 그동안 그의 친구는 대기실에서 지혜를 구하며 병든 친구의 치유를 위해 기도하고 있었다. 마침내 대기실로 돌아온 브라이언은 그가 받은 서류 더미를 친구에게 보여주었다. 그는 테이블 위에 서류들을 펼쳐 놓으며 친구에게 자신의 심각한 병을 치료하기 위해 검토되고 있는 여러가지 방법들에 대해 이야기했다. 두 사람은 앞으로의 과정을 위해 기도로 하나님께 지혜를 구해야겠다고 이야기했다. 그러고 나서 브라이언이 말했다. “앞으로 무슨 일이 일어나든 나는 하나님의 손 안에 있어.”
King Hezekiah “spread (a letter) out before the Lord” (2 KINGS 19:14). The words in the letter didn’t address a threatening medical condition but the threat of a powerful enemy – Assyria - that had seized all the fortified cities of Judah and was preparing to attack Jerusalem, its capital. Hezekiah prayed, “You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. . . . Now, Lord our God, deliver us” (VV. 15, 19). Soon the prophet Isaiah sent a message to Hezekiah, telling him, “The Lord . . . says: I have heard your prayer” (V. 20). And “that night” God destroyed the Assyrian army (V. 35).
히스기야 왕은 “편지를 여호와 앞에 펴 놓았다”(열왕기하 19:14). 편지의 내용은 심각한 병의 상태에 관한 것이 아니라, 유다의 모든 요새화 된 도시를 점령하고 수도인 예루살렘을 공격하려는 강적 앗수르의 위협적인 경고문이었다. 히스기야는 기도했다. “주는 천하 만국에 홀로 하나님이시라… 우리 하나님 여호와여 원하건대 이제 우리를… 구원하옵소서”(15, 19절). 곧 이사야 선지자가 히스기야에게 이렇게 메시지를 보내어 말했다. “여호와의 말씀이… 내게 기도하는 것을 내가 들었노라”(20절). 그리고 “그날 밤” 하나님은 앗수르 군대를 멸하셨다(35절).
Whatever you face today, spread it out before God. As you “present your requests to God” (PHILIPPIANS 4:6), He hears you and is with you. You can rest in His hands as you experience His wisdom, love, and hope. TOM FELTEN
당신이 오늘 무엇을 마주하든 하나님 앞에 펼쳐 놓으라. “구할 것을 하나님께 아뢰면”(빌립보서 4:6) 하나님은 들으시고 당신과 함께하신다. 당신은 하나님의 지혜와 사랑과 희망을 경험하며 그분의 손 안에서 안식할 수 있다.

Loving God, thank You for hearing me when I bring my concerns to You.//사랑의 하나님, 제 걱정들을 하나님 앞에 가져올 때 들어주셔서 감사합니다. 걱정 뿐 아니라 모든 문제를 하나님 앞에 펼쳐놓고 인도함을 구하게 하소서. 히스기야가 기도할 때 바로 하나님이 행동하신 것처럼 나의 일상사를 펼쳐 놓을 때 하나님이 일하소서.
