본문 : 요한복음 16:1-15(John 16:1-15)
(요 16:1) 내가 이것을 너희에게 이름은 너희로 실족지 않게 하려 함이니//These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
(요 16:2) 사람들이 너희를 출회할 뿐 아니라 때가 이르면 무릇 너희를 죽이는 자가 생각하기를 이것이 하나님을 섬기는 예라 하리라//They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
(요 16:3) 저희가 이런 일을 할 것은 아버지와 나를 알지 못함이라//And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
(요 16:4) 오직 너희에게 이 말을 이른 것은 너희로 그 때를 당하면 내가 너희에게 이 말 한 것을 기억나게 하려 함이요 처음부터 이 말을 하지 아니한 것은 내가 너희와 함께 있었음이니라//But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.
(요 16:5) 지금 내가 나를 보내신 이에게로 가는데 너희 중에서 나더러 어디로 가느냐 묻는 자가 없고//But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?
(요 16:6) 도리어 내가 이 말을 하므로 너희 마음에 근심이 가득하였도다//But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.
(요 16:7) 그러하나 내가 너희에게 실상을 말하노니 내가 떠나가는 것이 너희에게 유익이라 내가 떠나가지 아니하면 보혜사가 너희에게로 오시지 아니할 것이요 가면 내가 그를 너희에게로 보내리니//Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
(요 16:8) 그가 와서 죄에 대하여 의에 대하여 심판에 대하여 세상을 책망하시리라//And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
(요 16:9) 죄에 대하여라 함은 저희가 나를 믿지 아니함이요//Of sin, because they believe not on me;
(요 16:10) 의에 대하여라 함은 내가 아버지께로 가니 너희가 다시 나를 보지 못함이요//Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
(요 16:11) 심판에 대하여라 함은 이 세상 임금이 심판을 받았음이니라//Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
(요 16:12) 내가 아직도 너희에게 이를 것이 많으나 지금은 너희가 감당치 못하리라//I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
(요 16:13) 그러하나 진리의 성령이 오시면 그가 너희를 모든 진리 가운데로 인도하시리니 그가 자의로 말하지 않고 오직 듣는 것을 말하시며 장래 일을 너희에게 알리시리라//Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, {that} shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
(요 16:14) 그가 내 영광을 나타내리니 내 것을 가지고 너희에게 알리겠음이니라//He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew {it} unto you.
(요 16:15) 무릇 아버지께 있는 것은 다 내 것이라 그러므로 내가 말하기를 그가 내 것을 가지고 너희에게 알리리라 하였노라//All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew {it} unto you.
(요절 : 요한복음 16:13) 진리의 성령이 오시면 그가 너희를 모든 진리 가운데로 인도하시리니//when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:
While in London, I took my first sightseeing tour in an open-top double-deck bus. During the fascinating 2-hour ride, the commentary pointed out famous landmarks and the city's history. I was amazed to see things I had walked past without noticing before, and to hear stories that shed new light on people from Lord Horatio Nelson to William Shakespeare. The chosen route and clear view gave me a new perspective of the city.
런던에 있을 때 위가 열린 2층 버스를 타고 처음으로 관광 여행을 했다. 2시간 동안 아주 재미있게 타고 가는 동안, 설명하는 사람이 유명한 역사적 건물을 지적하며 도시의 역사를 설명했다. 내가 전에 걸어갔을 때는 주목하지 않고 지나쳤던 것들을 다시 보았고, Horatio Nelson 경으로부터 William Shakespeare까지 조명을 받은 이야기를 듣고 놀랐다.
The experience reminded me that there is something new to learn in every setting, especially when we have a guide. Years ago a friend encouraged me to read the entire Bible through every year. Each time I've done it, the Spirit has shown me new things in familiar passages.
그 경험은, 특히 안내자가 있을 경우에 모든 환경에서 새로운 것을 배울 수 있다는 것을 알게 했다. 몇 년 전에 한 친구가 내게 매년 성경 통독을 할 것을 권했었다. 매번 성경을 통독할 때마다, 성령님은 평상시 내가 잘 알던 구절에서 새로운 것을 보여주셨다.
Jesus said of the Spirit of truth: "He will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, {that} shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew {it} unto you"(John 16:13-14).
예수님은 진리의 성령에 대해 이렇게 말씀하셨다: "그가 너희를 모든 진리 가운데로 인도하시리니 그가 자의로 말하지 않고 오직 듣는 것을 말하시며 장래 일을 너희에게 알리시리라 그가 내 영광을 나타내리니 내 것을 가지고 너희에게 알리겠음이니라"(요한복음 16:13-14).
It's exciting to anticipate what we will learn from the Bible every day. As we read each page, the Holy Spirit longs to show us something new to meet our needs. Expect an enlightening guided tour. - David McCasland -

God who formed worlds by the power of His word//그분의 말씀의 권능으로 세상을 만드신 하나님이
Speaks through the Scriptures His truth to be heard;//들어야 할 그분의 진리를 성경을 통하여 말씀하신다.
And if we read with the will to obey//따라서 복종하려는 의지를 가지고 읽는다면
He by His Spirit will show us His way//그분과 그분의 성령이 우리에게 그분의 길을 보여주실 것이다.
