2024-06-13(목) 오실 예수님을 기대함(마태복음 24:36-44)
EXPECTING JESUS(MATTHEW 24:36-44)
(마 24:36) 그러나 그 날과 그 때는 아무도 모르나니 하늘의 천사들도, 아들도 모르고 오직 아버지만 아시느니라//But of that day and hour knoweth no {man}, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
(마 24:37) 노아의 때와 같이 인자의 임함도 그러하리라//But as the days of Noe {were}, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
(마 24:38) 홍수 전에 노아가 방주에 들어가던 날까지 사람들이 먹고 마시고 장가 들고 시집 가고 있으면서//For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
(마 24:39) 홍수가 나서 그들을 다 멸하기까지 깨닫지 못하였으니 인자의 임함도 이와 같으리라//And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
(마 24:40) 그 때에 두 사람이 밭에 있으매 한 사람은 데려가고 한 사람은 버려둠을 당할 것이요//Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
(마 24:41) 두 여자가 맷돌질을 하고 있으매 한 사람은 데려가고 한 사람은 버려둠을 당할 것이니라//Two {women shall be} grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
(마 24:42) 그러므로 깨어 있으라 어느 날에 너희 주가 임할는지 너희가 알지 못함이니라//Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
(마 24:43) 너희도 아는 바니 만일 집 주인이 도둑이 어느 시각에 올 줄을 알았더라면 깨어 있어 그 집을 뚫지 못하게 하였으리라//But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
(마 24:44) 이러므로 너희도 준비하고 있으라 생각하지 않은 때에 인자가 오리라//Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
(요절: 마태복음 24:44) 이러므로 너희도 준비하고 있으라 생각하지 않은 때에 인자가 오리라//You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. [MATTHEW 24:44]
My friend Paul was awaiting the arrival of a technician to repair his refrigerator when he saw a text on his phone from the appliance company. It read: “Jesus is on his way and is expected to arrive at approximately 11:35 a.m.” Paul soon discovered the technician’s name was indeed Jesús (hay-SOOS).
친구 폴이 냉장고 수리 기사가 도착하기를 기다리던 중 가전제품 회사에서 문자가 왔다. “예수가 지금 가는 중인데 오전 11시 35 분쯤 도착할 예정입니다.” 폴은 곧 기사의 이름이 정말로 ‘헤수스’ (Jesús)라는 것을 알게 되었다.
But when can we expect Jesus the Son of God to arrive? When He came as a man two thousand years ago and suffered the penalty of our sin, He said that He’d be back - but only the Father knew the precise “day or hour” of His return (MATTHEW 24:36). What difference might it make in our day-to-day priorities if we did know the moment our Savior is coming back to earth? (JOHN 14:1-3).
그런데 하나님의 아들 예수님은 과연 언제 오실까? 이천 년 전에 한 인간으로 오셔서 우리 죄의 형벌을 다 받으신 예수님은 다시 오실 거라고 하시면서, 그러나 재림의 정확한 “날짜와 시간”은 오직 하나님 아버지만 아신다고 말씀하셨다(마태복음 24:36). 우리 구주께서 이 땅에 다시 오시는 그 순간을 정말 안다면 우리 매일의 삶의 우선순위가 어떻게 달라질까? (요한복음 14:1-3).
Jesus cautioned us to be ready for His return: “the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him” (MATTHEW 24:44). He reminded us to “keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come” (V. 42).
예수님은 “생각하지 않은 때에 인자가 오리라”(마태복음 24:44)고 하시면서 우리에게 주님의 재림을 준비하고 있으라고 경고하시면서, “깨어 있으라 어느 날에 너희 주가 임할는지 너희가 알지 못함이니라”(42절)라고 상기시켜 주셨다.
On the day of Christ’s return, we won’t get an alert on our phone to give us a heads-up. So, through the power of the Spirit working through us, let’s live each day with a perspective of eternity, serving God and taking advantage of every opportunity to share His message of love and hope with others. 그리스도께서 다시 오시는 날, 이것을 우리에게 미리 알리는 문자 메시지는 오지 않을 것이다. 그러므로 우리를 통해 역사하시는 성령님의 권능으로 영원을 바라보며 매일을 살면서, 하나님을 섬기고 그분의 사랑과 소망의 메시지를 다른 사람들과 나눌 수 있는 모든 기회를 활용하도록 하자.
How are you motivated by Jesus’ imminent return? What can you expect when He comes again?
예수님이 곧 다시 오신다는 사실에 어떤 동기부여를 받습니까? 주님이 다시 오실 때 무엇을 기대할 수 있을까요?
Father, as I patiently wait, help me to obey You, pursue holiness, and to live in expectation of Christ’s return.//하나님 아버지, 제가 인내하며 기다릴 때 하나님께 순종하고 거룩한 것을 쫓으며 그리스도께서 다시 오실 것을 기대하며 살 수 있도록 도와주소서. 주님이 곧 다시 오신다 해도 부끄럼 없고 후회없는 삶을 살아가게 하소서. 복음 없이 죽어가는 사람에 대한 안타까운 마음을 지니게 하소서. 그들을 위하여 오늘 내가 준비할 일을 준비하게 하소서.
