WHO WE LISTEN TO(DEUTERONOMY 18:15-18)
(신 18:15) 네 하나님 여호와께서 너희 가운데 네 형제 중에서 너를 위하여 나와 같은 선지자 하나를 일으키시리니 너희는 그의 말을 들을지니라//Thou shalt in any wise set {him} king over thee, whom the Lord thy God shall choose: {one} from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which {is} not thy brother.
(신 18:16) 이것이 곧 네가 총회의 날에 호렙 산에서 네 하나님 여호와께 구한 것이라 곧 네가 말하기를 내가 다시는 내 하나님 여호와의 음성을 듣지 않게 하시고 다시는 이 큰 불을 보지 않게 하소서 두렵건대 내가 죽을까 하나이다 하매//But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the Lord hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.
(신 18:17) 여호와께서 내게 이르시되 그들의 말이 옳도다//Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.
(신 18:18) 내가 그들의 형제 중에서 너와 같은 선지자 하나를 그들을 위하여 일으키고 내 말을 그 입에 두리니 내가 그에게 명령하는 것을 그가 무리에게 다 말하리라//And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of {that which is} before the priests the Levites:

“I’ve got to declare an emergency. My pilot’s deceased.” Doug White nervously uttered those words to the control tower monitoring his flight. Minutes after takeoff, the pilot of the private plane Doug’s family had chartered suddenly passed away. Doug stepped into the cockpit with just three-month’s training in flying less sophisticated aircraft. He then carefully listened to controllers at a local airport who talked him through landing the plane. Later, Doug said, “(They) saved my family from an almost certain fiery death.”
“긴급상황입니다. 우리 비행기의 조종사가 사망했습니다.” 더그 화이트는 자신이 타고 있는 비행기를 추적 관찰하는 관제탑을 향해 급한 목소리로 이렇게 전했다. 더그의 가족이 빌린 전세 비행기가 이륙한지 몇 분 지나지 않아 조종사가 갑자기 죽은 것이다. 겨우 3개월 정도 소형 비행기로 비행훈련을 받았던 더그가 조종석에 앉았다. 그리고는 비행기 착륙 유도를 지시하는 현지 공항 관제사들의 말을 주의 깊게 들었다. 더그는 나중에 “(그들이) 우리 가족을 불에 타 죽을 수 밖에 없는 운명에서 건졌습니다.”라고 말했다.
We have one who alone can help us navigate the challenges in life. Moses, speaking to the Israelites, said, “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you …. You must listen to him” (DEUTERONOMY 18:15). This promise pointed to a succession of prophets God provided for His people, but it also spoke of the Messiah. Both Peter and Stephen would later state that this ultimate prophet was Jesus (ACTS 3:19-22; 7:37, 51-56). He alone came to tell us the loving and wise instructions of God (DEUTERONOMY 18:18).
우리에게는 인생의 문제들을 헤쳐나가는 데 도움을 줄 수 있는 오직 한 분이 계신다. 모세는 이스라엘 백성에게 “네 하나님 여호와께서 너희 가운데 네 형제 중에서 너를 위하여 나와 같은 선지자 하나를 일으키시리니… 너희는 그의 말을 들을지니라”(신명기 18:15)고 말했다. 이 약속은 하나님께서 그의 백성을 위해 준비하신 일련의 선지자들을 가리키는 것이기도 했지만 메시아에 대한 말씀이기도 했다. 후에 베드로와 스데반은 이 궁극적인 선지자가 예수님이라고 말했다(사도행전 3:19-22; 7:37, 51-56). 예수님 한 분만이 우리에게 하나님의 사랑과 지혜의 교훈을 전하러 오셨다(신명기 18:18).
During Christ’s life, God the Father said, “This is my Son . . . . Listen to him!” (MARK 9:7). To live wisely and avoid crashing and burning in this life, let’s listen to Jesus as He speaks through the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit. Listening to Him makes all the difference. TOM FELTEN
예수님이 이 땅에 계시는 동안 하나님 아버지는 “이는 내… 아들이니 너희는 그의 말을 들으라”(마가복음 9:7)고 말씀하셨다. 지혜롭게 살고, 살면서 추락하여 불에 타버리는 일을 피하기 위해 성경과 성령을 통해 말씀하시는 예수님께 귀를 기울이자. 그분의 말씀을 들으면 모든 일에 차이가 만들어진다.
Why is it sometimes challenging to hear Christ’s voice in this world? How can you better follow His wise and loving words today?
이 세상에서 그리스도의 음성을 듣는 것이 때로 어려운 이유는 무엇일까요? 오늘 어떻게 하면 그분의 지혜와 사랑의 말씀을 더 잘 따를 수 있을까요?
Dear Jesus, please help me hear and obey Your voice.//사랑하는 예수님, 제가 주의 음성을 듣고 순종할 수 있게 도와주소서. 수없이 많은 설교와 권면을 듣지만 그것이 나의 삶에서 녹아내리지는 않는 연약함을 도우사 말씀을 통하여 들려주시는 주님의 음성에 귀를 기울일 뿐만 아니라 집중하여 따르고 말씀대로 실천하며 살아가게 하소서.
