링컨의 간증 2008-02-18(월) Lincoln’s Testimony
본문 : 누가복음 24:13-27(Luke 24:13-27)
(눅 24:13) 그 날에 그들 중 둘이 예루살렘에서 이십오 리 되는 엠마오라 하는 마을로 가면서//And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem {about} threescore furlongs.
(눅 24:14) 이 모든 된 일을 서로 이야기하더라//And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
(눅 24:15) 그들이 서로 이야기하며 문의할 때에 예수께서 가까이 이르러 그들과 동행하시나//And it came to pass, that, while they communed {together} and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
(눅 24:16) 그들의 눈이 가리어져서 그인 줄 알아보지 못하거늘//But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
(눅 24:17) 예수께서 이르시되 너희가 길 가면서 서로 주고받고 하는 이야기가 무엇이냐 하시니 두 사람이 슬픈 빛을 띠고 머물러 서더라//And he said unto them, What manner of communications {are} these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
(눅 24:18) 그 한 사람인 글로바라 하는 자가 대답하여 이르되 당신이 예루살렘에 체류하면서도 요즘 거기서 된 일을 혼자만 알지 못하느냐//And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
(눅 24:19) 이르시되 무슨 일이냐 이르되 나사렛 예수의 일이니 그는 하나님과 모든 백성 앞에서 말과 일에 능하신 선지자이거늘//And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
(눅 24:20) 우리 대제사장들과 관리들이 사형 판결에 넘겨 주어 십자가에 못 박았느니라//And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
(눅 24:21) 우리는 이 사람이 이스라엘을 속량할 자라고 바랐노라 이뿐 아니라 이 일이 일어난 지가 사흘째요//But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, today is the third day since these things were done.
(눅 24:22) 또한 우리 중에 어떤 여자들이 우리로 놀라게 하였으니 이는 그들이 새벽에 무덤에 갔다가//Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
(눅 24:23) 그의 시체는 보지 못하고 와서 그가 살아나셨다 하는 천사들의 나타남을 보았다 함이라//And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
(눅 24:24) 또 우리와 함께 한 자 중에 두어 사람이 무덤에 가 과연 여자들이 말한 바와 같음을 보았으나 예수는 보지 못하였느니라 하거늘//And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found {it} even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
(눅 24:25) 이르시되 미련하고 선지자들이 말한 모든 것을 마음에 더디 믿는 자들이여//Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
(눅 24:26) 그리스도가 이런 고난을 받고 자기의 영광에 들어가야 할 것이 아니냐 하시고//Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
(눅 24:27) 이에 모세와 모든 선지자의 글로 시작하여 모든 성경에 쓴 바 자기에 관한 것을 자세히 설명하시니라//And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
(요절 : 누가복음 24:26) 그리스도가 이런 고난을 받고 자기의 영광에 들어가야 할 것이 아니냐 //Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?
Abraham Lincoln was a backwoodsman who rose from humble beginnings to the heights of political power. During the dark days of the US Civil War, he served as a compassionate and resolute president. Depression and mental pain were his frequent companions. Yet the terrible emotional suffering he endured drove him to receive Jesus Christ by faith.

Lincoln told a crowd in his hometown in Illinois: “When I left Springfield, I asked the people to pray for me; I was not a Christian. When I buried my son, the severest trial of my life, I was not a Christian. But when I saw the graves of thousands of our soldiers, I then and there consecrated myself to Christ. I do love Jesus.” Life’s most painful tragedies can bring us to a deeper understanding of the Savior.

When two men walked the road to Emmaus, they were dumbfounded by the senseless murder of Jesus of Nazareth. Then a stranger joined them and gave scriptural insight about the suffering Messiah (Luke 24:26-27). The stranger was Jesus Himself, and His ministry to them brought comfort.
두 사람이 엠마오 길로 걸어갈 때, 그들은 나세렛 예수님의 어이없는 참살로 인해 어쩔 줄을 몰랐었다. 그때 나그네가 그들과 동행하며 메시야가 고통받는 일에 관하여 성경적인 식견을 제시했다(누가복음 24:26-27). 그 나그네는 예수님 자신이었으며, 그들에 대한 그분의 사역으로 그들이 평안해졌다.
