Subject: Praises and Prayer Requests
Dear family and friends,
Warm greetings in Jesus' mighty name! Greetings also from San Pedro, Laguna!
It's almost 6 months now since we started serving the Lord here in this area of the country. We've just celebrated the church's 25th anniversary last month and God's faithfulness was highlighted during the celebration. The church had gone through a lot of tough times and to see the church standing and continuing the work of the Lord is a proof that it is His work and He is so powerful that "the gates of hell will not prevail against it." Thank you for your prayers for me and my family. 2 weeks ago we started bringing children from our community to attend Sunday School and tell them about Jesus. Last Sunday we've started our organizational meetings (Youth, Men, Ladies). I led the men in a study of the book of Titus. Rochelle led the ladies and 2 Bible School students led the Youth fellowship. God is really doing a great work here at Evangel Baptist Church and we just praise God for the privilege of serving Him and being able to see people knowing and moving closer to Jesus.
I thank God for His safe keeping upon me and my family everyday and for the good health that we all enjoy. Last Sunday I, together with some of the men from the church, went to Tagaytay to visit our outreach and to fellowship with our missionary pastor. On our way up, one of my rear tires exploded. The tire was totally destroyed but one thing I thank God was that nothing happened to us and it did not explode when we were on the Express Way. God is good and we praise Him and thank Him for the blessing of protection. Help me pray because I need to change all 4 tires which will cost Php 10,000-12,000 because I was advised that all my tires are old and defective and they are all prone to explode anytime soon. God is not just our protector but He is also our provider and so we trust and we hope in Him that this particular need would be meet. I'm sharing this with you so you could help us pray about it. Our resources are so low and they easily go empty but our God is rich. Thank you in advance for your prayers.
I am communicating now with my uncle who's a high ranking official in the Police Force 'coz we're planning to reach out to the policemen. We might start a conduct a regular Bible class with them and through this they will know Jesus and become God-fearing law enforcers. My uncle told us that He will help us make arrangements. Please partner with us in praying for this matter. Hopefully, we could start next month. We'll let you know the development of this.
Last Sunday, we had a missionary to Cambodia, as our speaker during the worship service. I am very happy and thankful to God because it has been my prayer that the Lord would open the eyes of our people, especially our church officers, to the need to take part in world missions. The feedback was good and many suggested that we get involved in the mission work in Cambodia. God is really at work here in the lives of the people of EBC. Thank you for your prayers!
Let us know how we can pray for you. Share to us your prayers concerns.
In God's Service,
The Fidels
